International IDEA and Thammasat University announce competition for Dr.Surin Pitsuwan Fellowship

Topic of the essay:
Based on the most recent Global State of Democracy Indices data, what are the main democratic trends in Asia and the pacific region since 1975 leading up to the current period?

Length of the essay should be max. 1200 words. Language should be English.

Eligible candidates: PhD candidates or Master students currently studying at Thammasat University originating from any of the ten ASEAN countries (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines,  Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam).

Indian Studies Presentation Competition is now opening for all faculties, all major until 19th November 2018! If you’re interested in India, don’t miss this opportunity.  The prizes worth 10,000 Baht.

(Presentation topics: Current economic, social and political issues in India, any critical sector in India, India and its international affairs, environmental concerns, domestic and regional developments, changing role of women in Indian society, technology and its social and cultural impact, culture and society, rural-urban community, etc .)

The PBIC is seeking for 3 delegates to join Peace Summit of Emerging Leaders event at UNCC on 28-30 November 2018.!!!

The delegates will be chosen by the speech competition which will be held on 14th November 2018 at the Common room.

The competitor has to speak in English in the subject of “Role of youth in the promotion of peace and sustainable development.” for 10 minutes.

The PBIC will pay the conference fees (25,000THB/person) for those three who are chosen by the speech competition committee.
