As part of our internationalization policy, Thammasat University aims to increase collaborations between Thammasat University and our partner universities around the world. Hence, the Pridi Banomyong International College has been established to introduce unique interdisciplinary programs taught in English for both international and Thai students.      

The College is named after Professor Dr. Pridi Banomyong, Statesman and Founder of Thammasat University. On the occasion of the centenary of Dr.Pridi Banomyong's birth in 2000, he was named by UNESCO as one of the world's great personalities of the century. In recognition of his significant role in Thailand and the establishment of Thammasat University, it is only appropriate that we name our International College after Professor Dr.Pridi Banomyong.     

To foster comprehensive understanding about Thailand and its culture among international and exchange students, the Pridi Banomyong International College offers the multi-disciplinary Thai Studies Program. The program utilizes and integrates the expertise of Thammasat University 's scholars in various fields, including social sciences, art and culture, and public health.       

In addition, in order for different international programs at Thammasat University to share resources and achieve the same standard in the foundation curriculum, the Pridi Banomyong International College aims to provide general education courses in English for first-year students in various international programs within Thammasat University .      

Another key objective of the College is to develop new innovative programs. Of particular emphasis will be new programs and degrees created in collaboration with leading universities overseas and joint degree programs.      

In addition to the aforementioned tasks, the Pridi Banomyong International College will also facilitate academic cooperation through scholar exchanges.

 

  1. To provide multi-disciplinary international programs at different levels, including graduate, undergraduate, certificate, and short programs.
  2. To provide general education for undergraduate students in new international programs.
  3. To encourage student and scholar exchange programs between Thammasat University and partner universities overseas.
  4. To facilitate various forms of international academic cooperation, such as collaborative researches and international conferences.
